SkyGreetings

I am onboard an AirTran flight using their in-flight wireless service. It is costing me $9.99 for my 1.5-hr flight. Expensive, yes, but way cool, and it allows me to get some work done.

Overall the speed is quick. The ISP is "CI - AIRCELL LLC SID" out of Richardson, Texas, and operates in the 12 class A IP network.

Speed? DSLReports.com says 1909 Kb/s down, 274 Kb/s up, 232 ms latency.

Uploads are terrible, I can't even upload a 100KB image of the speed test to this blog entry! Well it finally worked after 5 tries!

.kp

While Wikipedia-surfing I came across an interesting article regarding North Korea. For sometime I have known that the TLD for North Korea is .kp, but what I learned today is that there are exactly two... 2... sites that are .kp, check it out.

Wolfram|Alpha

Check out Wolfram|Alpha, a new search engine by the maker of Mathematica. It isn't a web search, like Google, but rather an information search. Don't look up something, but input a request for knowledge. Try your birthday, and see precisely how old you are. Check out the easter eggs! There is also an API to incorporate WolframAlpha into your application.

Microsoft-Free Fridays!

Who likes Microsoft Internet Explorer? No one. If you are one of those people, and also run a Drupal site, check out this module. It will block users visiting the site with Microsoft Internet Explorer on Fridays, and ask them to check out Firefox.
