HD Voice calling in Moldova with Orange

I saw an interesting story on Engadget today, Orange introduces 'HD Voice' calls -- 3G, Moldovian citizenship required. The service is being provided by Orange Moldova. It is rather interesting and exciting to see such a new technology, the first of its kind (at least for the general population) be unveiled in a eastern European country.

Snow Leopard: Installed!

My Snow Leopard disc arrived today via FedEx, and I quickly popped in the DVD and began the installation. In an hour's time, 10.6 was installed and ready to go, and my free disk space went from 97 GB to 123 GB. Thank you Apple for the extra space!

Perfect Numbers

Some time ago, my mother showed me a new mathematics textbook, a book on elementary number theory; and its not so elementary. Something that caught my attention was the Perfect Number. A perfect number is a number who is equal to the sum of its divisors. Like 6, because 6 = 1 + 2 + 3. I took an interest in this because only the first four perfect numbers have been uncovered, 6, 28, 496, and 8128. I wrote a simple C++ app (I know my logic is not optimal, but hey this was for fun). My code is attached, if you are brave enough to uncover the 5th perfect number!

The Nokia N97-1. Where's the Skype support?

I was in Europe for 3 weeks with friends and my brother. In 3 weeks I was in 8 countries - Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain, and Romania, in that order. While in Slovakia, I decided that, while I don't really have extra money to waste since the trip was expensive enough, I should get an N97. And I did.

Android Development: The Beginning

About two weeks ago, I bought the Android Dev Phone 1. Its essentially the T-Mobile G1, but with all the debugging extras, and totally unlocked (SIM unlocked, bootloader unlocked, and rooted). I have been using it as my regular phone, since if I am to develop for the platform, I have to know about the user experience. I need to know what other apps do and look like, and what some users may come to experience from applications in general.
