I've checked out the Chromium source, compiled it, and I'm sharing it here. This is Chromium, not Chrome (only a minor difference, Chromium is Chrome without the Google stuff, and the icon is different).
Download the latest incarnation of Chromium - SVN revision 33568. Note: this is for Intel computers only, running Mac OS X 10.5 or earlier (built on 10.6.2). The performance is great! Do bear in mind, it is still a very early version of Chromium, so don't expect all features to be present or working. Use at your own risk, but enjoy! For me, this Chromium build replaces Safari.
